What classic styles should be in your sneaker collection? Read on to find out.

1. Air Jordan 1 Sneaker Design

It only feels right to kick off our list with Nike’s Air Jordan one. After a tremendous year as a rookie player, Michael Jordan landed a deal with Nike.

Oddly enough, Jordan was disappointed since he initially was hoping to work with Adidas.
Jordan felt that Nike was taking a step down, but he had no idea what the future had in store! The Air Jordan made a big debut and became one of Nikes signature sneakers.

Showcasing a compressed air pocket in the heel, the Air Jordan provides the perfect combination of support and space. The ankles have an additional amount of support, and the toes have a professionally designed overlay. The iconic Nike logo is on the side, in the shoes overall look as sleek and stylish.

The very first shoe design didn’t have all of the technology that would come in later models.
As each new version came out, the shoe’s functionality just got better. Now sneakerheads can enjoy buying the Air Jordan 1 retro high OG pro, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG basketball shoes, and the list goes on.

There are even Air Jordans made explicitly for women and women’s basketball. Arguably our favorite pair has to be the Air Jordan 1 mid newspaper air times. This pair of basketball sneakers only recently came out.

The side of the shoes features a unique newspaper design, unlike any other pair. Pro-tip; Air Jordans run true to size and work in every season.

2. Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 and More

If you want a pair of influential and coveted sneakers, you need to get Adidas Yeezy sneakers. A lot of the shoes use Adidas’s latest technology, including their boost material. That means enhanced performance and ultimate comfort.

Yeezy shoes are iconic for several reasons. Their history dates back almost a decade, starting with the Yeezy boost 750. After Adidas announced its new shoe deal with Kanye West, the public could hardly wait to see what was in store.

The Yeezy boost 750 was revealed and instantly became available in boutiques and retail stores. The next version came out as a worldwide release, as the Yeezy boost 350 hit the scene. The Yeezy boost was unlike any other sneaker using prime knit technology and a series of synthetic yarns with flat knitting machinery.

The shoe features a petroleum-based ethylene-vinyl material. The Yeezy boost 350 even uses a unique foam that comes from algae.

One of our favorite versions of this shoe has to be the pirate black colorway option. It’s a rugged-looking Yeezy boost 350 that has a mean appearance.

Of course, if you want to stand out from the crowd, consider getting the Yeezy 700 V3 glow-in-the-dark pair. These shoes look like something straight out of a Sci-Fi movie! The Adidas Tublar also has a unique appeal, helping it stand out from the rest.

3. Converse: Classic and Modern

Converse began making footwear for the military back in World War II. They were one of the only manufacturers of athletic shoes for quite a while. One of the reasons Converse shoes made our list of iconic options is the unique brand designs.

Over the decades, Converse basketball shoes have grown in popularity. Their popularity took off when Nike decided to acquire converse.

Relaunching the footwear, Nike jumped on the 1980s retro craze. The noticeably high-top athletic sneakers have won over the hearts of many. The converse brand began expanding even more and picking up popularity in the fashion world.

The skateboarding market also began to notice the brand. Skateboarding ambassadors began wearing Converse sneakers to competitions. It didn’t take long for a skate shoe version of Converse to hit the scene.

One of our favorite iconic sneakers for Converse is the 1986 version; the weapon. The weapon uses a unique two-color scheme approach. It is the perfect pair of basketball shoes, featuring a high top and a low top cut variety.

The weapon has a leather construction for the entire shoe, and that includes the inside heel. The inside heel has thick padding to give extra comfort while playing long games. There’s even a new version of the weapon featuring a new color scheme to switch things up.

You could also go for special editions of Converse shoes. There are high-heel shoe converses, camouflage editions, and so much more.

4. Old School Vans Sneaker Styles

We couldn’t talk about Converse without also mentioning old-school Vans sneaker design. In 1977, the same year Elvis passed away, Van’s old school hit the shoe scene. The throwback design featured a unique low-top style.

It was Van’s very first skate shoe that had leather panels. The shoe also showcases the iconic side stripe, which is initially called the jazz stripe. Throughout the 80s, customized versions of Vans old-school sneakers came about.

Checkerboard styles, drawings with black pen on the rubber midsole, and every other type of customization you could think of. The old school has always been a nostalgic choice for skateboarders. Head to your local skate shop, and you’re sure to see a pair sitting on the shelves.
